After 51 years in the same location, Ace Metal Crafts has moved to an 82,000-square-foot plant at 484 Thomas Drive in Bensenville, Illinois. We have built our name and reputation on stainless steel expertise in laser cutting, forming, welding, sanitary finishes, and value engineering.
Our decision to move from Franklin Park positions us for a continued partnership with you as you grow your business. It's a natural extension of our investments in technology.
For you, the move to a much larger plant means:
 Greater Capacity
- We looked at the new facility as a blank slate. Our team optimized the set-up of equipment specifically as jobs flow from receiving raw materials to laser cutting, to forming, to welding, to finishing, and finally to shipping. This flow will translate into shorter lead times and faster delivery.
- The addition of a new flat laser means we now have three lasers (two flat and
one 3-D tube and pipe) to meet your needs.
- Additional welding stations will deliver 30% more capacity.
- Expanded glass bead finishing area can be used either as two separate smaller rooms or as a single room that can handle larger parts. The blasting area is strategically located to ensure minimal travel time between processes.
The facility itself is designed for greater efficiency and self-sufficiency!
- 10-ton crane high bay capacity helps us take raw materials from receiving directly to the machinery for processing. For example, now Ace can move stainless sheets from the receiving dock directly to the automated material handling of its flat laser, which means shorter setup time.
- Our new Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Nitrogen Generating System will help us be more self-sufficient when it comes to generating nitrogen to assist with laser cutting. No unexpected downtime.
