Speed – When do you want it?
For many Ace customers, speed is everything. Lean manufacturing helps us deliver that expectation, for other customers, speed is not a priority. So our approach to each project is simple: Instead of touting how fast we can deliver a component, we simply ask, "when do you want it?"

As a Lean shop we’re built for speed. We have replaced wasteful steps – from order entry to part delivery – with more seamless processes. Consider our paperless office Today we accept orders and engineering files electronically and immediately move the information to the experts who begin the process – that means we start fabricating components faster.
Our move to flow manufacturing from batch has resulted in huge lead-time reductions. The Ace Express Team cell is nimble and handles quick deliveries. More complex projects are processed in a completely separate area by our Power Team cell. The floor is structured so that every operation, every touch of a project is interconnected and adjacent to the next so there’s no time wasted.

A visual dynamic scheduling system delivers critical information the team needs at the time good decisions can be made. And each cell team member has the authority – the responsibility – for quality and maintaining process flow.
